The next edition of MH Automatyka Pomerania MTB Marathon is behind us, which this time was the inauguration of the Polish XCM Cup. The sponsors of the event were the Mercor Group and the ASE Technology Group. Pomerania hosted an event of this rank in Luzino for the second time. This year, as part of the preparation for this event, the organizer decided to hold the competition in April (not in March as before) due to the long-lasting winter in the country.
Once again, the best cyclists appeared at the start at the charming stable in Barłomin. Despite the unpromising weather in the morning, over 65 km of the crown race was held in the sun and without rain. “Every year we enrich this area with new technical sections and elements that you meet in the mountains.
We would like to organize the Polish Championships here in the near future, especially since we have great support from the local community, the Luzino commune and sponsors of the event, including, above all, the owner of the Barłomino Stables, which is the base of the competition - President Krzysztof Krempeć" - says the Organizer.
Again, the attendance of about 400 people was achieved, and the route itself and the level of competition were at the highest level. The organizer rose to the occasion by providing the competitors with over 2000 m of elevation gain on two loops, with the entire route being 100% led in forest areas. There were very few places to rest, and its interval nature affected everyone, regardless of the level of training, according to the mtb-xc.pl portal. The next edition of the competition will take place on May 7 in Trąbki Wielkie.
