To sum up 2024, MERCOR Tecresa finished it with a portfolio full of new and spectacular projects presenting the company's capabilities in the field of fire protection of building structures and gravity smoke removal.
Mercor tecresa® is a Spanish company established on July 24, 1998, and incorporated into the Mercor® Group on February 19, 2008. It specializes in the most advanced solutions in the field of passive fire protection, focusing on two directions of action: smoke removal and fire resistance of materials, using its own products, such as TECWOOL® mortar or TECBOR® boards. Mario Mancenido, General Director of MERCOR Tecresa, enters 2025 with his team with hope and new development prospects.
“We are proud of 2024 because we have opened new markets for MERCOR Tecresa” explains Mario Mancenido. “We started selling TECWOOL mortar in Great Britain and for the first time we introduced the SILBOARD board, produced by MERCOR S.A. We started cooperation with a distributor in South Korea. We have big projects ahead of us for next year, such as the new phase of the Khor Al Zubair tunnel in Iraq”, he enumerates.
MERCOR Tecresa's operations are developing dynamically both in Spain and on export markets. The year 2025 promises to be very demanding for MERCOR Tecresa.
“We are taking part in tenders for the supply of Tecbor to several tunnels in Saudi Arabia” informs Mario Mancenido. “Construction of Madrid Nuevo Norte will start in mid-2025 and will include the construction of 10,500 apartments, a shopping center and a financial district with several buildings. We expect that the Madrid Nuevo Norte project will provide us with an important portfolio for the next 5 years”, he concludes.
