MERCOR S.A. exceeded the 300 million PLN revenue mark again

MERCOR S.A. exceeded the 300 million PLN revenue mark again in the first half of 2023/24. As one of the leaders in the European fire protection market, the MERCOR Group reported sales revenue of 300.9 million PLN (-0.4% YoY) for the six-month period of the financial year 2023/2024 (April 1 - September 30, 2023). During the same period, EBIT amounted to 32.3 million PLN (-7.8%), while EBITDA reached 41.7 million PLN (-5% YoY). The net profit increased by 37.8% compared to the previous year and amounted to nearly 32 million PLN. The company's net profit for the first half-year was boosted by receiving a refund of income tax paid with interest, totaling 10.5 million PLN.

In the second quarter of the 2023/24 financial year, the Group's revenues amounted to 148.7 million PLN (-11%), and the net profit exceeded 19.3 million PLN (+59.6%).

We consider our results for the first half of the 2023/24 financial year to be good. Above all, we maintained high revenues, which, like last year, exceeded the 300 million PLN mark. As a result of completed proceedings, we received a refund of income tax paid with interest, which increased the Group's net profit by approximately 10.5 million PLN - says Krzysztof Krempeć, President of the Management Board of MERCOR S.A.

In the first half of the 2023/24 financial year, the Group generated 51.1% of its revenues, amounting to 153.6 million PLN, from the domestic market. Meanwhile, 48.9% of sales, equivalent to 147.2 million PLN, came from foreign markets.

We have been working intensively on the development of the Group's activities for many years. Our Group's innovative solutions and flexible, individual approach to customer needs have been instrumental in this. As a result, we have prestigious projects in our portfolio in many countries, which provide us with comparable revenues both in Poland and abroad. Among the most interesting recent international contracts, we can mention the agreement for supplying DFM Doors products to Tesla Gigafactory near Berlin, as well as contracts with the SKYPARK office center at Luxembourg Airport and the Digital Art Center Port Des Lumieres in Hamburg. We are also thrilled about several exciting projects in Poland, such as providing fire ventilation for the Innovation Space Center at the Warsaw School of Economics, structural fire protection for the Museum of Modern Art in Warsaw, and steel doors for the Museum of Polish History at the Warsaw Citadel - emphasizes Krzysztof Krempeć, President of the Management Board of MERCOR SA.

Growth in orders was observed in October.

Regarding the acquired orders, the third quarter of the financial year 2023/24 started off successfully for us. In October of this year, the Group acquired orders worth approximately 58.5 million PLN, compared to 45.6 million PLN in the same period last year, representing a growth of 28%. Taking into account the six-month period from May to October 2023, the Group obtained orders worth about 331.5 million PLN, compared to 297.9 million PLN in the same period the previous year, which indicates a growth of 11% – reports Krzysztof Krempeć, CEO of "MERCOR" S.A.
